SodaStream Summer Taste Tour

Sodastream wanted to bring its bold Made By You campaign off the screen and into real life. The challenge: design a multi-city pop-up that not only showcased Sodastream’s sparkling creativity but also empowered consumers to express themselves through personalized drink-making. The tour needed to drive mass awareness, social sharing, and consumer trial in a way that felt both playful and premium.

The Big Idea

The Sodastream Summer Taste Tour transformed the ritual of drink-making into a stage for self-expression. Across three cities—New York, Philadelphia, and Boston—consumers stepped into a vibrant, mixology-inspired footprint where every touchpoint celebrated creativity. From crafting their own sparkling drinks to customizing take-home charms for their bottles and engaging with city-specific content walls, the experience was a living, breathing extension of the Made By Me campaign.

Every element of the Sodastream Summer Taste Tour was designed as a journey, guiding guests from curious onlookers to fully immersed creators. Instead of simply sampling a product, consumers stepped into a playful, multi-sensory world where each station unlocked a new layer of personalization.

From crafting their own sparkling drink to seeing their words flicker on the board, the footprint unfolded like a story  one that celebrated creativity, individuality, and the joy of “Made By You.”

The Experience (Consumer Journey)

1. Welcome Moment

Guests were welcomed into the footprint by brand ambassadors and kicked things off with a quick iPad quiz — uncovering their “sparkling drink personality” and setting the stage for a one-of-a-kind experience.
2. Make-it-Yourself Drink Counter

The heart of the tour: a mixology-style counter where consumers became the bartender. They dialed up bubbles, played with bold flavors, and added fresh fruit to bring their ultimate “made by me” drink to life — hands-on, fizzy, and unforgettable.
3. Charm Station

With drink in hand, guests moved to a playful wall of charms, fruit, city, and letter icons that let them customize their reusable bottles like jewelry. No two bottles looked alike, turning every creation into a personal keepsake.

4. Confessional Booth

In a neon-lit booth, guests answered the cheeky prompt: “What makes you thirsty?” Their candid responses added humor, personality, and a sense of connection to the campaign.
5. Flicker Board

Answers didn’t just disappear,  they came alive on a flickerboard above a branded bench, surprising consumers with their words in lights. It doubled as a photo-op that everyone wanted to share.
6. Gallery Wall

City-specific art walls celebrated local culture and quirks. From bold photography to witty taglines, the gallery gave each stop a sense of place and sparked smiles, laughter, and conversation.

7. Side Wall Visual

A bold, graphic mural extended Sodastream’s identity and turned the side of the footprint into an organic photo backdrop, a splash of color and creativity that demanded to be posted.
8. Lounge + Chill Zone

Finally, guests could kick back in the lounge: decked out with branded chairs, tables, games, and DJ sets. It was a festival-like hangout where people sipped, played, and soaked up the energy of Sodastream’s summer tour.

Render to Reality

From polished concept renders to vibrant live activations, the Sodastream Summer Taste Tour delivered on its promise: a playground of creativity, fizz, and flavor. The footprint translated seamlessly from design to reality—bold colors, interactive touchpoints, and premium finishes created a tour that felt larger than life.
